Cristina Lugo was born in Sinaloa and raised in Puerto Vallarta by her Mexican chef mother and American restaurateur father. Cristina is a global citizen, educated in the United States and England and has worked in Chicago, London, Rio de Janeiro, Bangkok and Nicaragua. Her global background opened doors into a world where her relentless search for hospitality perfection would align with her mission to expose outsiders to Mexico’s cultural excellence.
Cristina was mentored by some of the world's best chefs including Pujol’s Enrique Olvera. She became an industry insider while mastering roles as General Manager at México City's top restaurants, at 27 was the youngest Commercial Director at Pujol (currently the #14 restaurant in the world) and has represented the sales & marketing divisions of the Four Seasons and St. Regis Hotel brands.
In recent years, Cristina has developed a reputation as a culinary and cultural ambassador by redefining the standards of tourism. As the Founder and CEO of Morenita Experience, Cristina leads a team of cultural representatives who share her pride and vision for pushing Mexico forward.
